ALL HE WANTS TO DO IS PARTY WITH HIS PRETTY BABY:
I am in a Lana Del Ray mood, which means, I am in a mood to dance and sway around my room, dramatically. But it is cold, the window doesn't stop the cold air from getting through. So I can't sway like a broken flower, and I will just have to write in my blog about my weekend away in Concepcion.
MONEY IS THE ANTHEM OF SUCCESS:
So I lost my wallet in Concepcion, after buying dominoes pizza. Good pizza though, so it was worth it. It almost tasted like Pappo's, almost.
As we walked through the streets, trying to find my pug coin purse, I was nervous. Not because I thought I wouldn't find it, but because it was the first problem on a so far perfect trip. Diego and I walked in silence, and it was what I had been afraid of when I was planning my trip. I was afraid that I would have to see how you act in new situations, and maybe I wouldn't like it. I wasn't really ready for that "honeymoon phase" to be over. But as you held my hand tightly, I realized that that phase is overrated. I liked seeing different sides of you. This weekend, I met many different Diego's. I met sick Diego, sleepy Diego, Megan is in a problem Diego, sexy Diego, and old commercial engineer Diego. Still very attracted to all Diego's. 
WANT A QUICK SICK RAMPAGE:

DARK AND LONELY:
A long haired angel saved me by finding my wallet in the mall, and returning the day after, on Father's day. I realized, as I was on my way to pick up my wallet, that I don't really like holidays. hey are full of expectations, of happy family meetings, and when the holiday arrives, it is like a alarm clock, snapping you out of that dream. That day I had planned to call my father, and tell him that I loved him. That I was in Concepcion, with my boyfriend, that I was happy. But things did not go as planned, and I never got to say any of those things. It grew late, and I realized that he wouldn't have time to call and honestly, it made me feel bad about myself. Because I haven't talked to my father in a while. And I still have a grudge, a stupid grudge, from last summer. And I don't want to feel that way anymore. But just as things don't go as planned, things don't change overnight. There was no magic forgiveness, only an awareness, that I am less important than the Missouri State jazz band. But my best friend did call. And wish me a happy stupid day, and I remember that she was the one who helped me in my summer situation. That when we don't get things, things that we really want, we get other things. That can help us, that can care for us, when we are crying messes.(And will watch girly movies with you.)
PUT ON MASCARA AND YOUR PARTY DRESS:
Overall, I had a great weekend. I know that I say I love to go out, get dressed up, dance, but there is something so nice about watching movies on the couch, under the covers. I guess I am embracing my old women persona. In other news, by some kind of miracle, Chile beat Mexico in soccer, and I had the best churassco of my life.
Anyways, Concepcion is a really interesting place because its not like any other places I've seen before. Whenever I go to a big city, I compare it to Santiago, D.C, Saint Louis. When I go to smaller cities, I compare them to Springfield. But it wasn't like Springfield at all, except there were a lot of trees and it reaffirmed that I hate public buses.The city itself is really spread out, it has a lot of bridges, and pretty beaches. It is prettier in the summer, and as much as I tried to take notes of the city, there was something more important there, distracting my attention away from looking out the window. It was the fact that I couldn't help resting my head on his shoulder and looking up at him, because I really liked what I saw.

Or as I've been calling it, the mid October slump. I have given up on the idea that I will ever wake up early enough to straighten my hair before class, accepting that a messy bun on the top of my head is the best it is going to get. I give up on finding the perfect outfit for Missouri's forever changing temperatures. I have renounced my perfect attendance, in hope to make it through this semester. Midterms were last week: And I wrote three papers, had two tests, and made one collage. I spent hours studying metamorphic rocks and crustal deformation only to get a 79 percent. I wrote papers about things I really did not care about. At all. I used a blog entry and the most random photos for my last fashion assignment. I took my perfect attendance and flushed it down the drain because why not? Was it worth it? HECK YES IT WAS. I was transported back to that day. My feet were in the sand toes curling in the wet grains and I'm not in my kitchen anymore I'm laughing and yelling talking to the ocean talking to you drawing your name and mine in the sand and I feel sick to my stomach because the doubt has vanished and I know that in that moment I was free and I had never been more in love I remember the sky and tossing the shells back into the ocean except for the ones I kept to paint with you. In the midst of cleaning out my jewelry bag i stumbled across the shells that traveled from the pacific to Missouri and I want to break one but I can't because they are still so beautiful and although I think about it less and less everyday I can't stop my mind today, as I tuck away the shells in a safe place, where they will stay, beautiful and whole.
